Kalanchoe
PLANT CARE GUIDE
Placement
Place your Kalanchoe near a bright, sunny window. She should get plenty of direct to indirect sunlight throughout the day. Rotate the plant occasionally to encourage even growth.
Light Requirements
The Kalanchoe needs bright, indirect sunlight for the majority of the day.
Watering Needs
Water your Kalanchoe when the soil has dried out at least 1 to 2 inches deep. Remove the plant from its decorative planter and water with fresh water. Water generously and evenly from above, so the soil is thoroughly drenched. Then allow the water to drain completely from the soil before returning the plant to its decorative planter.
Temperature Preferences
Does well between 65° - 85ºF. Cold temperatures should be avoided.
Humidity Tolerance
Tolerates lower levels of humidity, around 30-35%.
Repotting Needs
The Kalanchoe can live happily in the provided pot for up to a year. Repot when the roots have become overgrown, or the plant has grown too large. Mix equal parts sand and potting soil or use a succulent potting mix. Keep the soil loose rather than tightly compacted. After repotting, wait at least a week before watering the plant. Repot every 1-2 years. When your plant is ready to be repotted, you can follow our simple how-to guide.
Toxicity
If ingested, may cause a harmful reaction in pets.
