The European Cypress will do well in a room that gets bright consistent light. Place her near a window with a sheer curtain for filtered sunlight. To encourage even growth, rotate the plant every few months once it begins to lean towards the light.
The European Cypress needs medium to bright indirect light. Direct sunlight should be avoided.
Water moderately so that the soil remains damp, not soggy. Water when the surface becomes slightly dry. When watering, remove the plant from its decorative planter and water with fresh water lightly and slowly from above, allowing water to soak through to the roots, then tip out any excess water before returning the plant to its decorative planter. Dry soil should be avoided.
Does well at room temperature between 60°F - 77°F. Keep away from direct heat sources.
Does well with standard indoor levels of humidity, about 40% - 60%.
The plant can live happily in the provided grow pot for 2-3 years. Check if the plant is ready to be repotted by touching the soil and seeing if it has become loose, or if the roots have filled the bottom of the pot. Repot using a rich, well-draining soil.
Unhealthy Plant Signs
Over or under-watered plants will lose their needles. Browning may be a sign of overwatering.
If ingested, may cause a harmful reaction in pets.
