Dragon Tree,
Dracaena marginataPLANT CARE GUIDE
Placement
The Dragon Tree will do well in a room that gets a medium amount of natural light or in a semi-shady spot. Bright, sunny, or overly warm windows should be avoided. Rotate the plant occasionally to encourage even growth.
Light Requirements
The Dragon Tree needs medium, indirect sunlight. Never place the plant in direct sun as the rays can scorch the leaves.
Watering Needs
The Dragon Tree requires less water than most indoor plants. When watering, water lightly and slowly from above with purified water, allowing water to soak through to the roots, then tip out any excess water. Always allow the top 1 inch of soil to dry out before watering. Soggy soil should be avoided.
Temperature Preferences
Does well at room temperature between 60°F - 77°F. Cold temperatures should be avoided.
Humidity Tolerance
Does well at normal (about 40% - 60%) humidity levels.
Repotting Needs
The plant can live happily in the provided pot for up to a year. Check if the plant is ready to be repotted by touching the soil and seeing if it has become loose, or if the roots have become overgrown. Repot using a rich, well-draining soil. When your plant is ready to be repotted, you can follow our simple how-to guide.
Unhealthy Plant Signs
Browning leaves may be a sign of underwatering. Yellowing leaves may be a sign that the plant is getting too much sunlight.
Toxicity
If ingested, may cause a harmful reaction in pets.
